Tempo Arena programming

LILA DOWNS

21:00 - 22:30 | Arena

Lila Downs is one of Latin America's most influential artists. With her compositions, this velvety Mexican voice tackles a variety of styles, including cumbia, ranchera, corrido, bolero and Latin American songs with a strong social content, through her favorite subjects: social justice, immigration and the future of women.

CIMAFUNK

23:00 - 00:30 | Arena

Cimafunk is an Afro-Cuban rock star. His latest album El Alimento was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Latino Rock or Alternative Album category. His name refers to his heritage as a cimarrón, the maroon fugitives who resisted and escaped slavery, as well as to the essence of his music, which subverts Cuban music with funk, Afrobeat and hip hop.

Around the tempo

MATINALES DE LA CONGA

11:00 - 12:30 | LA CONGA

The festival's second largest stage after the Arènes, nearly 200 bands have been featured over the past 25 years. From 11.00 a.m. we wake up to a "Latin-tropical" world tour hosted by the Conga DJs.

Albert Algoud dedication

11:00 - 12:30 | La Placita

Signing session to celebrate the publication of his comic strip "Le Prof qui a sauvé sa vie".
Meet at La Placita, on the Tempo Info terrace.

Albert Algoud (ex-plume of the great Canal + era) tells Florence Cestac about his crazy years as a young, freshly-qualified teacher in the early 1980s, when he landed in the asshole of the world: a village in Haute-Savoie. An anti-conformist who ignores old educational lunatics, Algoud is the screwball counterpart of teacher Daniel Pennac (Chagrin d'école). A good teacher can really change lives, starting with his own!

"Le Prof qui a sauvé sa vie" (The teacher who saved his life), with the talented complicity of Florence Cestac (Dargaud, 2023).

JOAO SELVA

12:30 - 14:00 | CAP TEMPO

Son of a pastor from Ipanema, João Selva grew up in Rio de Janeiro in a community of former prisoners and converted artists. Recognized as an ambassador of Brazilian music in France, he began his career with the Forró de Rebeca trio, with whom he toured prestigious French venues.

CONCERT MULTI-INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOP

14:00 - 16:30 | LA CONGA

The aim of this workshop is to introduce musicians of different levels and backgrounds to Latin music, working on a varied repertoire accessible to all. The team of instructors is made up of professional musicians who have been working together for over 15 years and share a solid pedagogical experience.

FERNANDO CAVACO

16:00 - 17:30 | CAP TEMPO

From an early age, he was immersed in the rich tradition of samba and choro (the chamber music at the origin of samba). For over fifteen years, he has brought a new, rhythmic sound to forró and roda de samba, and an innovative register far removed from the clichés of a glitzy Brazil.

IRE ARIKU

From Friday to Sunday, the entire Tempo Infos team is hard at work editing a daily newspaper. Our team of volunteers will tell you all about the cult moments not to be missed at the festival! Newspapers to be found around 6pm on the counters of our casas at Tempo Latino!

Tempo Latino & eco-responsibility.

Eco-responsibility at Tempo Latino is nothing new, and the Festival has been working in this direction for several years. To support us in this approach, we called on the Élémen'terre Association, commissioned by the Occitanie Region to set up the "Événements Détonnants" label for eco-responsible events in Occitanie.

Here's our eco-responsibility retrospective:

Since 1996:
Eco-decoration of the Festival using recycled materials (psychedelic palms made from plastic bottles and sheaths, cork garlands, wooden and bamboo casas...). Eco-decoration workshops.

Since 2000:
Risk prevention stand: hearing prevention (distribution of ear plugs, children's helmets, prevention of risky behavior / breathalyser).

Since 2002:
Selective waste sorting: tric skips and used oil recycling.
Sustainable tableware for catering.

Since 2008:
Transport of festival-goers via our Shuttle service from Toulouse, Auch and Agen to Vic-Fezensac as well as the Navetitas which serve 20 communes around the Festival.

Since 2009:
Recyclable glasses

Since 2018:
Biodegradable apple gelatin straws 100% organic and 100% biodegradable.

Since 2022:
Energy savings: renewal of the fleet of bulbs and LED garlands.
No plastic bottles are sold in the Festival bars, and water fountains are available to the public.

We've come a long way, but we're committed to keeping up the good work....

What is an explosive event?
It's an event that contrasts with current event proposals, a committed and responsible event. Committed to reducing its environmental impact, it federates and mobilizes its teams, partners and audiences around issues of ecological and societal transition, and gives itself the means to deploy a global, structured and continuously improving eco-responsible approach. It's also, logically, an event that de-tunes, since it reduces its carbon emissions, waste, energy consumption and the resources used for its staging. And it's an event that amazes, by proposing to experiment with ecological and societal transition in new, more sustainable and inclusive forms!
